NoVo Foundation is supporting the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) WGRN Initiative with a $17 million dollar grant to help implement programming to support social and political environments that foster women’s freedom from violence, discrimination and exclusion; allowing them to be active participants in rebuilding their countries. Towards this end, the IRC will design strategic objectives and activities around the following four program pillars with its critical foundation of research, evaluation, and learning:
- Interventions to mobilize institutions, communities, & individuals to combat violence against women.
- Access to & control over resources & leadership development.
- Access to services including sexual & physical assault referral centers & community-based outreach.
- Advocacy efforts for increased commitment & resources to combat violence against women.
